Makini 2020 KCPE Candidates Performance Briefing: Congratulations!

On Thursday 15 April 2021, Education CS George Magoha released the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results at Mtihani House in Nairobi.

We are very proud of the Makini Class of 2020 for their good performance despite the Covid-19 pandemic. This has been a unique academic year, faced with uncommon challenges, but the results tell an inspiring story.

“We have walked with our candidates and we have finished the race strong. We ensured our educators delivered a thorough coverage of the entire syllabus. During the pandemic, we opened our doors to the digital era and continued through E-learning. We would also like to thank our parents for being very supportive thus far and putting God first through everything. We wish our candidates well as they progress to high school,” said John Muriithi, Upper Primary Headteacher at the Ngong Road campus.

Our top marks include the following:

Ngong Road campus:

  1. Michelle Gichoya 421 marks
  2. Kiarie Muranga 421 marks
  3. Chevie Wangechi 418 marks

Makini School Kibos:

  1. Sheila K. Momanyi 415 marks
  2. Zwane Oricho 410 marks
  3. Calvin Owour 409 marks

We had 281 candidates sit the exam in both our Nairobi and Kisumu campuses.

The Ngong Road campus had 196 students with over 90 learners scoring As and A-s.

Our Kisumu campus, Makini School Kibos, who have now sat for their fourth KCPE, had 85 students with over 30 learners scoring As and A-s.

“We are proud of our students. They have been working hard despite the pandemic and have shown steady academic progress through the highs and lows. They have been resilient and we congratulate and pray that they continue the good work even as they aim higher in their continued education journeys” said Margaret Wanyonyi, Upper Primary Headteacher at Makini School Kibos in Kisumu.

The Makini family, both staff and parents, has been instrumental in ensuring our learners did their best.

Congratulations to each of our candidates for putting their best foot forward.
