Developing Caring Learners Who Are Actively Growing & Making Progress

Times have been challenging, no doubt. The glue to the Makini family has been nurturing our interactions in a way that motivates us to stride on and use this time to grow wherever we have been planted. For most learners, this has been at home, where they have learnt to get creative with education: be it planting, baking, crocheting or coming up with a great proposal on how we can tackle problems in our community. At the same time, candidate classes and Grade 4 have resumed physical learning. The school followed all steps to ensure everyone’s safety, but most importantly to help our learners manage the uncertainty of the times we are in through mental and spiritual support. In this issue we get to see how well the learners have settled into contact-based learning, some of the training that has taken place, our academic team building morale at the Ngong Hills and much more.
