Pastoral Care
A child’s well-being is the foundation of their success. Our pastoral care programme prioritises emotional, social and mental health, ensuring every student feels supported, valued and understood.
Our dedicated teachers work closely with learners and families to guide positive behaviour, encourage resilience and promote healthy relationships. By creating a safe and inclusive environment, we give children the confidence to explore their potential, take on new challenges and grow into compassionate, responsible young people.
Extra-Curricular Activities
We believe in holistic growth beyond the classroom. Our 360° assessment framework goes beyond academics, celebrating success in sports, performing arts and multiple intelligences. Every learner must actively participate in at least one activity—academic, sports or arts—building a culture of engagement and confidence.
Creative Arts
Learners express themselves through music, drama, dance and visual arts, building confidence and creativity while discovering their unique talents.
Sports and Physical Activities
We promote physical health, teamwork and perseverance through a range of sports. From basketball and skating to hockey and athletics, our learners can unleash their potential through our specialist-led coaching. They’re also given the opportunity to compete against others in inter-school tournaments and matches.
Clubs and Societies
We offer a variety of clubs including journalism, cooking, debate, robotics and first aid. These clubs allow learners to pursue their interests, explore future career pathways and build valuable life skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Community Engagement
Education thrives when schools, families and communities work together. At Makini Primary School Runda, we work hard at actively fostering these connections to enrich our learners’ experiences and broaden their views of the world.
Parental Involvement
We believe parents play an essential role in education. Through regular communication, workshops, parent-teacher meetings and family events, we ensure a collaborative approach that supports every child’s success.
Community Service
Learners participate in age-appropriate service projects that teach empathy, social responsibility and the value of contributing to society. This hands-on experience helps them grow into thoughtful, active citizens who are confident in giving back to the community.
Cultural Events
Our calendar is filled with celebrations that honour diversity and heritage. Through cultural days, performances and themed activities, learners are exposed to different traditions and learn to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
